Halloween candy š¬ is it too early to talk about this? I donāt think so and hereās why. ā ā Iāve always been a planner in life, but somehow the holidays have been about indulgence, and very little management of my impulses. I just couldnāt seem to find a balanced approach to enjoying foods that only came around once a year.ā ā First came Halloween, and once the hailstorm of gutted wrappers surrounded me, I knew the holidays, and all my anxiety around partaking in āthe special foods,ā had returned.ā ā This tailspin erupted from the restriction I didnāt even realize I had created around those snack-sized ankle biters all year long. I considered them āoff limitsā outside of October, so I would never just pick one up and make it part of my day. ā ā But let me challenge you with this...ā ā October 31st is just like any other day of any other month, and there is no reason to dropkick your good habits into next year when it arrives.ā ā āØāØāØThis year instead of white knuckling your way past the plentiful candy displays in every store, pick up a mixed bag of your favorites. Today. Incorporate one piece into 2-3 of your meals each day. Have it *with* your plate of food. Enjoy it, savor it, and appreciate it as part of your meal. Then, move on knowing there will be another at the next meal, and again the next day āØāØāØā ā In 21 days when there is a gigantic bowl of candy next to your front door, I promise it will look a lot less enticing if you have been incorporating this practice into your daily routine #abundancemindsetā ā If youāve been keeping something out of reach for the last 10 months, itās not too late to prepare for the upcoming buffet of temptations we all experience this time of year. ā ā ā¼ļøWho is up to take #thecandychallenge with me? I will be incorporating either a butterfinger or peanut butter cups into my meals twice a day and sharing in my stories! What about you? Tag me please if you are joining me ā¼ļø
