When the Bloat is Real

Ugh guys the bloat is real this morning. This is what a food hangover looks like on my body. ⠀ 🖕The bad news? It feels as uncomfortable as it looks, and not even high waisted leggings can fix it. ⠀ ✌️The good news? It’s temporary and it’ll be gone in 24-48 hours. ⠀ If I had gone on a weeklong bender it would take more like 2-3 weeks to look and feel myself again, but this is what a two sodium-filled restaurant dinners out in three days will do to me. Pretty sure it was that gorgeous gluten filled pizza Saturday night that put me over the top. ⠀ Here’s how I’m going to approach today so I can feel my best tomorrow:⠀ ✅ Drink My Water ⠀ ✅ Eat My Greens⠀ ✅ Hit My Fiber⠀ ✅ Get My Steps⠀ ✅ Limit Volume Foods⠀ What I do most of the time matters so much more than what I do some of the time, which is why these quick-fix measures will work in this scenario. ⠀ 👉I’m pretty sure this has been a pivitol moment in my past where I’ve decided ‘it’s over’ and time to just let go. Hell Halloween candy is out. Seems right 🙄⠀ Just no ❌⠀ I am so used to eating the same, simple whole foods on a daily basis that when my body gives me a nudge after I’ve taken it a bit off course, it is just a reminder to do a very simple reset, not a trigger to self-sabotage months and years of habit building. ⠀ If this is a regular occurrence for you, I highly recommend following @lil_bit_of_fit who specializes in digestive related issues and has TONS of sound advice in this realm 🙌⠀
